It is observed that brake linings of all the vehicles from LCV to HCV, buses, trucks, dumpers, tippers, trailers, etc., are replaced manually, i.e., chisel and hammer is used for removing the old rivets and liner (de-riveting operation) and new liners are fitted by flattening the fresh rivets by hammer (sometimes with damaged punches/cylinder valves). Such operations leads to damaged brake shoes, distortion in brake shoe profile, damaged rivet hole, enlarged rivet holes which reduces brake shoe life. Moreover, it also affects fitment of fresh brake linings reflecting lower liner life. Silkaans, after studying all these problems have come up with unique designed machine for this application.
