Heat Resistant Thermoplastic Polyamide

C H Erbsloeh KG, Germany, offers a thermoplastic polyamide RTP 4200 with a high heat resistant characteristic and a glass transition temperature lying at about 250?C. The melting point lies at about 385?C. The temperature for non-stop use is given as 230 to 285?C. The polymer reinforced with glass or carbon fibre is inherently flame-proof and classified in classes V to O according to UL94 (wall thickness 0.4 mm). It can be modified with PTFE. The material according to the manufacturer has a small thermal expansion. The dimensional accuracy is high. The resistance to most acids, alkalies and organic solvents is good.
