SunBridge BioEnergy Ltd, the bioenergy arm of SunBridge Group, has commenced commercial production at its grain-based, fuel-grade ethanol manufacturing facility in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, marking a key milestone in its bioenergy journey.

The Seoni facility has a production capacity of 300 kilolitres per day (KLD), storage capacity of 11,000 kilolitres and spans approximately 117,560 square metres. The company is further strengthening its ethanol portfolio, with total capacity set to reach 700 KLD through a 400 KLD facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, which is expected to become operational soon.

The Seoni plant is designed to maximise resource efficiency in ethanol production and generates co-products including Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) and Distillers Corn Oil (DCO), which are primarily used in poultry and cattle feed. The facility also incorporates water recovery and reuse systems supported by Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) operations to promote efficient utilisation of natural resources.

SunBridge BioEnergy utilises damaged food grains, including maize and broken rice, to produce fuel-grade ethanol. This grain-based ethanol production supports farming communities by utilising damaged and broken rice that is not suitable for human consumption.
