Digital readouts

Kirloskar Electric, in Mysore, manufactures digital readouts that have become an integral part of conventional machine tools in all industries.Digital readouts (DROs) gear the machines for higher rate of production and precision. These SMT DROs are available both in programmable and non-programmable versions. The DRO package consists of sophisticated linear transducers and the linear transducers that can be either glass scale version or high precision steel scales. The resolutions offered are 0.5, 1, 5 and 10 microns. The maximum measurable length is up to 100 mtrs. Special scales for press brakes and special magnetic tapes are also available.The DROs are offered with features such as self-diagnostic, inch/metric conversion, machine data, programme memory, machine error compensation, bolthole pattern, linear hole pattern, mirror image, zero output and RS232C interface. DROs are available for single and multi-axis measuring applications. They meet the needs of milling, drilling, boring, jigboring, turning, grinding, EDMS and other special purpose machines. These find applications in enhancing productivity.
