Buffer Amplifiers For More Than 25 Different Input Configurations

More than 25 different input configurations for an output signal of 4-20 mA can be processed by the new and technologically unique MCRCLP-Ul/I-4 buffer amplifier by Phoenix Contact. This buffer amplifier, which is supplied from the control side, procures its energy for converting and amplifying the signals from the 4-20 mA current loop in the output. This is usually operated by an active input on a PLC. No additional auxiliary energy has to be hooked up so that commissioning work is limited to the connection of two input and two output terminals. This saves time and costs. The universally usable input with signal ranges from 0-60 mV, 0-500 mV, 0-5 V, 0-10 V, 0-20 V, 0-5 mA, 0-10 mA, 0(4)-20 mA, etc, is configured as desired with the DIP switch. The zero/frame potentiometer in the front of the housing is for additional fine tuning. This avoids superfluous module types and also facilitates storage. The new metal housing design saves space with a width of only 17.5 mm whereby simple connecting systems provides for comfortable wiring and a tidy switch cabinet. It is recommended that analogue signals from the processing periphery are electrically insulated to achieve a safe and permanent functioning of the PLCS.
