Mysore-based Kirloskar Electric manufactures CNC systems - CRT versions that are versatile, flexible and cater to all areas of metalworking automation.The Viking 150 plus series systems have CNC architecture that supports up to 8-axes with 3-axes interpolation. The 32-bit microprocessor makes it a very powerful CNC system. An integrated PLC supports up to 128 digital input / 128 digital output for all auxiliary controls such as tool turret / magazines. All the machine parameters can be programmed at field in flash memory. Some of the salient features of the system are compact operator controls with 9" CRT display, integrated programming through keyboard, graphic simulation / dynamic graphics, tool life programming, and menu driven operation. These systems will support turning centres, machining centres, flame cutting machines and grinding machines.
