Non-Contact Capacitive Displacement Measuring Systems

Integrated Process Systems offer Non-Contact Capacitive Displacement Measuring Systems, CapaNCDT Series. The sensors measure distances, lengths, dimensions, or positions of any electrically conducting targets (e.g. metals). Due to the use of the guard ring capacitor principle, high linear output characteristics can be realized without additional electronic linearization circuitry. These systems are further characterized by their excellent resolution and stability. A linearization function is integrated for measurement against non-conducting or insulator materials. The capacitive displacement sensors require a clean and dry environment as dirt, dust, water or other dielectric media in the measuring gap can influence the measurement signal. A wide range of Sensor and Electronic unit options allow optimum solutions even for the most difficult measuring tasks. The Micro-Epsilon CapaNCDT range includes special design versions for specific customer requests for demanding applications requiring Nano-precision sensors, as well as low-cost versions for OEM applications.
