Water Wing Back Reamer Designed For Hard/Compacted Soils

The new Ditch Witch Water Wing backreamer is designed for enlarging pilot bores made with horizontal directional boring equipment when working in hard, compacted soils and conditions containing small chunk rock and light rock formations. Three wing cutters are supported by an outer ring that adds strength and stability while the reamer expands a hole. Cutting teeth are on the wings and both front and back sides of the outer band. Drilling fluid flows through nozzles on each wing, keeping cuttings away from the tool and preventing material from clumping on the reamer. Water Wing backreamers are available in diameters ranging from 12 to 32 inches (30 to 8 I cm) on 2-3/4 inch (70 mm) or 4-inch (102-mm) shafts. They can be used on any brand directional boring machine.
