Indexing Face Plate, Rotary

Sharp Tools offers a rotary indexing face plates that are a easy to install and use. The housing and face plates are of strongly ribbed, vibration free graded cast iron. The face plate is flanged to the hollow-spindle, moves axially and rotates on two cylindrical roller bearings. When the handle is in the middle position, the face plate rotates freely. Direct indexing and clamping on standard 24 holes (every 15o) on the face plate is effected simply by pulling the handle forward. These 24 holes are jig bored and lined with hardened and ground bushes, provided for accurate indexing at intervals of 15o or its multiple. Any other angle can be set to the clearly marked scale on the periphery of the face plate and the face plate is clamped by pushing the same handle backwards. At the top of the housing, a location face is provided for drill plates and drill bridges. The feet can be positioned at the rear of the face plate to allow longer diameter components to be swung.Slots are provided in the feet for clamping on machine table. The vertical and horizontal T-slots in the face plates are scrape finished to locate jigs and fixtures. The spindle bore is accurately machined to allow concentric mounting of components or fixtures. Closed construction protects parts against ingress of dirt and coolant.
