Grinding Machine, Internal

Lavingia Enterprise offers an internal grinding machine, Model971 B&F (2-axis CNC). This has been developed specifically for grinding bore and inside/outside face of components in one set- ting. The machine is suitable for components like gears, cup bearings, etc. The machine has automatic component loading, grinding and dressing cycles, size control, dressing and dressing compensation (for wheel OD and face), and auto homing new wheel. All the feed and positioning slides are mounted on preloaded linear bearings. The work-head and dresser shafts are mounted on ISO: P4 class bearings. Feeds are provided by stepper motors. All grinding, dressing and operating parameters are programmable through a menu-based operator assist. The machine controls are PC-based. The machine is being offered in various configurations suitable for straight or taper bore grinding (eg, bearings and gears), profiled bore grinding (eg, ball bearing track and CV joint cages), complex profile grinding (eg, water pump and bottom roller bearings) and bore and face (internal or external) grinding (eg, cup bearing and automotive gears). A choice of work- holding devices (eg, shoe-centreless, diaphragm chuck), dressing devices (straight, radius, diamond roller), grinding spindles (belt driven or high frequency motorized) and auto loading devices are offered to customize the machine to suit specific application.
