The Lomelt range offers electrodes suitable for various metals, i.e., carbon steel, stainless steel, dissimilar steel and copper alloys etc. Special features: instantaneous strike and restrike; all position touch type welding; unmatched uniformity of weld bead; minimum distortion and warpage due to minimum heat input; and weld bead is of radiographic quality. Mechanical properties: a versatile all position electrode for low carbon steels; especially recommended for thin gauge sheets and plates, where warpage, distortion and stresses are to be kept minimum and burn through eliminated; tensile strength – 50 kgf/mm² (typical); and elongation – 26% (typical). Application: ducts, bus bodies, tanks, pipelines, furniture, chassis, air-conditioning units, machine guards, etc. The company offers a wide range of electrodes ranging from general purpose mild steel to stainless steel cast iron to nonferrous hard surfacing to low hydrogen, manufactured on modern equipment. It also manufactures wire for CO2/MIG welding process as well as stainless steel wires for GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes and flux-cored wires. A well-equipped and staffed R&D centre has been playing a vital role in offering suitable electrodes for maintenance and repair welding.
