The design features of Concentric live centres include: a low profile for higher RPM rates and a closer working area; a spring-loaded spindle for automatic thrust adjustment; and distributed roller bearings which increase radial load capacity and provide for closer tolerances and longer life than conventional centres, while providing a turning accuracy up to ±0.000 1". Concentric live cenlres are available in Morse taper sizes 2 through 6 and straight shanks from 5/8" to 3". Also available in several Jamo and Brown & Sharpe tapers. The Bell Head version of these centres has a ten-degree spindle and five interchangeable adapters for holding castings, forgings, large diameter tubing, cylinders and pipe. Adapter sizes range from 1/4" to over 7".
