CEM Instruments (India) Pvt Ltd offers a high performance Thermal Imager, Model DT-980. This “price-barrier breaking”, thermal imager is a handheld imaging camera used for predictive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and verification. Thermal and visual images are displayed on the LCD and can be saved to a Micro SD memory card and removing the SD memory card and connecting it to a PC through the included card reader accomplish transferring images to a PC. Additionally the thermal imager provides video recording with audio and play back. It generates (80 x 80) high resolution IR images. It is equipped with 5 megapixels digital camera resolutions with flash, which provides sharp images regardless of lighting conditions. It can display thermal images super-imposed over a digital image (picture-in-picture).
Additionally, it allows the visual camera and fusion to be used in poorly lit environments. It has laser sighting as well so that targets can be easily recognised. Its temperature ranges from -20 to +350°C targeting electrical with ±2% accuracy that facilitates reliable temperature measurement. It is extremely easy to view and analyse images quickly. It has an integrated speaker to listen to audio recorded with the video images. It is powered by Li-Ion rechargeable battery which lasts > 4 hrs in continuous use and is also replaceable. It has a HDMI high resolution video output with a 100M memory to store about 80 pictures or one minute video record. It is equipped with an USB interface, which easily uploads images from camera to USB memory card. Its area (Min/Max) mode shows the minimum or the maximum temperature reading in the selected area. Reports could be generated for the images captured for data analysis. The software and PC interface comes free along with the instrument. Calibration certificate with data points are available with the meter.
