Hydrolift-T II is a tem erature compensating gas spring for hood, hatch, a liftgate applications on automobiles, minivans, and sport utility vehicles. The custom designed gas spring is engineered to operate at temperatures within a range of -40 to 180?F. In ware tem erature conditions, the HydroLift-T II operates as a stan ard gap spring. In this mode, gas and oil pass through orifice from chamber to chamber as the piston trave through its stroke cycle. In cold weather, the unit's the mally actuated check valve, with bimetallic spring, provides a variable force boost. As temperature drops, th check valve more securely closes the orifice providing steady and increased force boost.
