Fuel Additive

Fuel Additive

Petroleum Engineers offers Fuel Additive. Utilization of Sludge: Ingredients of ZL-400 & ZL-400 SP, penetrate into the sludge at the bottom of the fuel storage tank and in fuel lines & brake into minute particles which gradually get dispersed into fuel to be utilised for combustion. Since sludge has a calorific value higher than the fuel itself, more heat is released in the combustion process. Anti-oxidant contained in product prevents formation of fresh sludge in fuel oil. Improved Combustion: Combustion is improved through better atomization and through the action of the combustion catalyst & sludge conditioner which is related to breaking double bonds in long chain hydrocarbon molecules into shorter chain molecules which have a lower ignition temperature and burn easily. When fuel starts to burn, organic oxidisers detonate in microscopic explosions that break fuel into even smaller droplets. This increases the exposure of the fuel to air and the fuel is thus burnt with reduced formation of soot and smoke. After a period of running it will be observed that less excess air will be required in the combustion process. Improved Heat Transfer: Sodium and Vanadium present in the fuel oil combine during combustion to form low melting-point salts. These salts deposit on heat transfer surfaces as tenacious clinker and ash and drastically cut down heat transfer. The ingredients of ZL-400 & ZL-400 SP combine with vanadium pentoxide to form non-corrosive vanadates which have a high melting point and are friable and less adherent. Thus the necessity for removing deposits manually or by chemical means is eliminated. This accounts for improved heat transfer and reduced maintenance. Reduced Corrosion: Vanadium pentoxide present in the fuel catalyses the oxidation of sulphur dioxide to sulphur trioxide which in combination with water forms highly corrosive dilute sulphuric acid. Dil. sulphuric acid has a high dew point and corrodes the post-combustion areas where it cools below its acid dew-point. As vanadium pentoxide is neutralized, corrosion is inhibited. ZL-400 & ZL-400 SP: Fuel Oil Additive™ also deposits active ingredients in the post-combustion zone where corrosion due to flue gases cooled below acid dew-point is reduced. Fuel Economy: Carbon dioxide % in the flue gases shows an increase up to 15 %. Stack temperature is lowered by about 10-12%. There is an economy in fuel consumption of 3 % - 5 % while product COST BREAK-EVEN is less than 1% for Furnace Oil & less than 0.5% for LDO.
