Ejector Systems


H K Industries offers Ejector Systems. These are liquid jet ejector systems. These are used specially for: small plants (10 m3) high vapour loads; polluting (corrosive) vapours; vacuum up to 40 torr at 35ºC (for high vacuum mechanical or steam boosters are used). They are simple in construction consisting of suction housing a diffuser and motive nozzle. Features: low maintenance; no rotating parts (except centrifugal pump); various material of construction; can be used as backing pump for steam jet boosters; and barometric height not required. The operation of liquid jet pumps is based on the emergence of high velocity liquid jet from the motive nozzle entraining air or gas in the suction housing and compressing it to atmospheric pressure. The suction pressure varies with the temperature of water at zero suction capacity for water jet ejector system. Advantages: simple construction, minimum maintenance, long life, any material of construction. Short comings: not so energy efficient, steam or air required for higher vacuum, cooling water required. Applications: distillation, drying, degassing, deodourising, deaeration, crystallisation, molten metal degassing, etc.
