Metafold Engineering Pvt Ltd offers an Automated Sheet Storage System. The automated sheet storage solution is more efficient in terms of space, time and handling advantages compared to conventional storage solutions like racks and/or floor storage.

The main components of the automated sheet storage system are: control panel, automated sheet storage rack (both sided), cassette assembly, cassette assembly stopper, and trolley with cassette assembly.

The system is available in single- or double-sided design, where the single-sided rack can be extended to a double-sided rack at a later time. The automated sheet storage system is suitable to store metal sheet. Applications range from buffer storage systems in manufacturing to small to mid size storage solutions in distribution and warehousing. The Metafold automated sheet storage is specially designed for sheet metal applications and can be used for different loading heights.

Salient features include: packed sheet with pallets is loading on the trolley as well as loading cassette to lift the material from the pallet can be added to the storage station; material lifting units as an alternative for loading and unloading with vacuum lifter or overhead crane; vacuum lifter to load and unload material is optional; and loading/unloading station front side only for different levels.

Controller: the fully automatic system controller for the automated sheet storage, is based on a no hard-drive industrial PC with colour display and touch screen operation; functions such as location management or cassette management as well as graphical system, system diagnosis and automatic order control are standard; very easy order entry, order tracking, booking as well as the manual operation; the system is user-friendly, and made much easier with simple graphical symbols, operation and return messages directly via touch screen and additional features to increase the performance and update the hardware of the Controller – even at later date; material and inventory management (number of pieces, weight, length and width); automatic data backup via USB stick; linking with ERP systems; data export/import, e.g., to Microsoft Excel via USB stick (master record data); and bar-code scanner for order entry – upon request.
