Swiss firm United Grinding Group to organise Grinding Symposium 2019

Thun (Switzerland)

Networked production, machine learning in the production process, intelligent workpieces: What do all these buzz words mean? And, more importantly: How suitable are they for everyday use and how is this topic related to precision and grinding technology? All of these and more fascinating questions will be discussed at the Grinding Symposium, May 8-10, 2019 in Thun, Switzerland.

For the fourth time in succession, United Grinding Group is inviting international experts from the field of hard fine machining to this summit, held over three days against the beautiful panoramic backdrop of the Swiss Alps.

In 16 expert talks, well-known international experts will be explaining current and future developments in the grinding machine and production industries. There will be 13 presentations of real use-cases in which MÄGERLE, BLOHM, JUNG, STUDER, SCHAUDT, MIKROSA, WALTER and EWAG will present their latest hardware and software solutions, including three new products. And innovative future technologies will be introduced in the newly established FutureLAB.

"We are very happy that with the Grinding Symposium we offer our guests a forum for international, expert exchange at a top-class level,” said Stephan Nell, CEO of United Grinding Group. He promises all participants "many interesting experiences through this innovative and effective combination of science and practice". Dialog and networking will not be neglected thanks to the pleasant social program in the evenings.

The Grinding Symposium 2019 enjoys an international focus, and presents itself in German, English, French, and Italian.
