Kabelschlepp India Pvt Ltd, a member of the Tsubaki Group, highlighted the critical role of motion infrastructure in enabling reliable, productive and connected manufacturing at the 9th Symposium on Automation & Robotics 2026, organised by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA).

Held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, the symposium brought together manufacturing leaders, automation experts and technology professionals under the theme, “Automation, Intelligence and The Human Edge – Building India’s Next-Generation Factory.”

Srinivas P Kamisetty, Managing Director, Kabelschlepp India Pvt Ltd, addressed the gathering on “Invisible Infrastructure, Visible Productivity,” highlighting how reliable motion systems directly impact machine availability, productivity and operational continuity.

As factories become increasingly automated and interconnected, focus is often placed on robotics, artificial intelligence, digitalisation and advanced control systems. However, the supporting infrastructure that enables these technologies to operate reliably is equally important.

During his presentation, Kamisetty highlighted the role of motion infrastructure in protecting and managing cables, hoses, power and data connections that enable automated machinery and robotic systems to function reliably.

“Automation is not only about the intelligence inside a machine. It is also about the infrastructure that allows that intelligence to operate reliably, continuously and safely,” said Srinivas P Kamisetty, Managing Director, Kabelschlepp India Pvt Ltd.

“When everything works as expected, this infrastructure remains invisible. But when a cable, hose or connection fails, the impact can quickly become visible in the form of machine downtime, maintenance intervention and lost productivity. As Indian manufacturing moves towards higher levels of automation, reliability needs to be considered across the entire system.”
