Texmaco, RVNL form JV to Boost Make in India and Rail Modernisation

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd (Texmaco), part of the Adventz Group and a leading player in India’s rail and infrastructure sector, has formed a Joint Venture with Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways.

Saroj Kumar Poddar, Chairman, Adventz Group, emphasised, “This joint venture strengthens India’s capacity to deliver world-class rail infrastructure. It will open doors for innovation, exports, and digital technologies, making Indian railways globally competitive while supporting the country’s self-reliance journey.”

The new JV will focus on freight and passenger rolling stock, including wagons, locomotives, coaches, trainsets, and metro coaches, while also undertaking EPC projects, depot operations, and global tenders, strengthening India’s rail infrastructure and export capabilities.

Sudipta Mukherjee, Managing Director, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, highlighted, “This JV is about shaping the future of Indian railways. By combining Texmaco’s manufacturing expertise with RVNL’s execution excellence, we will deliver next-generation freight, passenger and metro systems that advance Atmanirbhar Bharat and put India on the global rail map.”

Texmaco will hold a 49 per cent stake, while RVNL will remain the majority shareholder. The transaction is expected to close by December 2025, subject to statutory approvals.

Pradeep Gaur, Chairman & Managing Director, RVNL, added, “This collaboration aligns with the Government’s mission of Make in India and green mobility. Together, RVNL and Texmaco will accelerate India’s rail modernisation and create sustainable, future-ready solutions for both domestic and international markets.”

The JV will actively explore innovation in automation, artificial intelligence, and green technologies, aiming to deliver advanced, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.

As India accelerates its infrastructure growth under Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, Texmaco Rail & Engineering is positioned at the forefront, delivering engineering solutions that move the nation and the world forward.

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd is a public sector enterprise (Navratna CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, primarily engaged in implementing rail infrastructure projects across the country. RVNL has contributed significantly to the expansion of the country’s railway and metro systems, both domestically and globally.
