Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) will organise the Pune Machine Tool Expo (PMTX) 2026, co-located with Factory Equipment Expo (FACTEQ) 2026, from 7 to 10 September 2026 at the Pune International Exhibition & Convention Centre (PIECC), Moshi, Pune. The announcement was made at a press conference held today in Mumbai.

PMTX is a premier B2B exhibition showcasing advanced machine tools, manufacturing technologies, factory automation and precision engineering solutions. FACTEQ is an exclusive exhibition focused on factory equipment, featuring products and solutions for new factories as well as facilities requiring upgrades.

More than 175 exhibitors will showcase machine tools, metal cutting, metal forming, tooling, automation, robotics, metrology and digital manufacturing technologies. The exhibitions will also feature factory equipment, material handling solutions, industrial infrastructure, energy-efficient systems and smart factory solutions.

Business visitors from sectors including automotive, aerospace, general and heavy engineering, capital goods and several other industries are expected to attend.

Pune is one of India’s most important manufacturing and engineering centres. The expo is designed to provide the machine tool and manufacturing industry with a platform to evaluate solutions, interact with experts and experience machines and factory systems live.

The expo will also enable visitors to familiarise themselves with production technologies and factory infrastructure solutions.

According to Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO, IMTMA, “Manufacturers today want to see technology perform and provide end-to-end solutions, not just machines. Live machine demonstrations, service propositions and direct engagement with technology providers will enable faster and more informed investment decisions.”

Western India will continue to be a healthy contributor to India’s engineering output. IMTMA expects good participation from OEMs, component manufacturers, MSMEs and factory managers actively exploring automation, quality enhancement and cost optimisation.

The expo will also create opportunities for business networking, supplier discovery, technology partnerships and industrial collaboration.
