With double-edged focus on India & global market, we expect to grow by 10-15%”

How is you company fulfilling the material handling needs to its customers?
For nearly five decades, Techno Industries have been catering to the varied customer base across sectors such as heavy engineering, construction and infrastructure, steel, power, ports any many more.
We fulfil our valued customers in 5 major ways: 1) We directly supply our MHE to OEM/projects based (original equipment manufacturers), 2) we supply to the government institutions through tendering process, 3) we offer our product range to our channel partners across nation, 4) we cater our customer through EPCs consultants, and 5 (we directly export our products to the global markets.

Can you brief us on your manufacturing capabilities? How are you upgrading your facilities with the emerging industry trends?
Our state of the art technology manufacturing facilities is spread across over 200,000 sq ft with 2 units based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and 1 unit in Bangalore.
Our core competence lies in providing customised solutions that are design, estimation, fabrication, installation and commissioning. We also have shed, testing facility and additional land where we are on verge of expansion with sheds, painting booth and next generation CNC machinery.

What are some latest products and solutions from Tacklers Engineering?
While material handling equipment such as EOT crane, Hoists, etc have been our forte for last many years – which we have been offering in our Tacklers Brand, we are the strategic partner of Columbus Mckinnon brands – a) STAHL Crane Systems for EOT crane and Components, and b) Pfaff-siberblau for drive technology, lifting and traffic engineering solutions. We have also form a business alliance with Mennekes for industrial plugs & sockets. Over and above catering to the conventional sectors, we are more focusing on newer applications such as railways, ports, warehouses, and logistics etc. We are further in discussion with the global players for adding the new product range so as to enhance our market presence.

Is the customer’s requirement for the MHE changing with the emerging trends such as automation, robotics etc?
The basic application for MHE remains same and simple that is to provide lifting solutions effectively and efficiently, while minimising the human efforts. Automation and robotics assists in the further making it more efficient. We do have an efficient team of design engineers having adequate knowledge of software such as Autocad, Solidworks, Ansys etc assisting the manufacturing team to manufacturer better products for our valued customers.

Companies across industries are emphasising on sustainability. How is your company serving the sustainability route?
Unlike petroleum-powered machine/equipment, material handling equipment like EOT crane and Hoists are mainly used for lifting purpose does not generate emissions. Powered by electricity, sustainable overhead lifting equipment has a significantly lower carbon footprint. Equipped with load-specific attachments and controllers that ensure steady, predictable movement, overhead lifting equipment reduces product damage. Further, overhead lifting systems are significantly less likely to leak oils and other fluids.

Further, Techno Industries have developed SOPs/SOGs for the critical functions/departments that enable us to check processes, systems, documentation at each stage of engineering and manufacturing.

What are your growth plans for the coming 2-3 years?
India Material Handling Equipment Market size is expected to reach by 2027, at a CAGR of 9.8 per cent. Further, all the end-use segment/sectors such as warehouse, logistics, railways, ports, and engineering is expected to grow at 7-9 per cent CAGR in upcoming years. With a further focus on exports, we are likely to penetrate in newer markets with our product range and this shall assist us to achieve an overall organisational objective. With this double-edged focus on India as well as global market, we expect Techno Industries to grow by 10-15 per cent.
