Heat recovery and heat transfer technology company HRS Process Systems Ltd has completed expansion at its manufacturing facility at Koregaon Bhima, 40 km from Pune. The Rs 43 crore expansion will enable the company to raise its turnover and make a higher contribution to the turnover of its UK-headquartered parent, the HRS Group. The company offers heat transfer solutions for an extensive range of processing applications across a spectrum of industry sectors like chemical, petrochemicals, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, fertiliser, cement, steel and power.

According to HRS Group Managing Director Steven Pither quoted in the Times of India, the company intends to increase its focus on food & beverage and the pharmaceutical sector and leapfrog the market by introducing more innovative heat exchanger-based systems for food / fruit processing plants. HRS PSL's contribution to the Group's global turnover is over 25 per cent currently and with the expansion the company expects to see this increase to 35-40 per cent in the future.
