Mumbai, January 28th, 2015: Godrej, one of India's leading manufacturers of refrigerators, was awarded the 1st prize at the National Energy Conservation Awards 2014 by Bureau of Energy Efficiency India (BEE). Godrej was the only brand to be conferred with this Prestigious Award for its 'achievements in Energy Conservation' in the Star labeled Appliances (Refrigerator) Category.

Godrej Refrigerator received the National Energy Conservation Award 2014 from the Honorable Union Minister of State for Power Coal and Renewable Energy, (Independent Charge) of India, Shri Piyush Goyal, at Vigyan Bhawan on the occasion of the National Energy Conservation Day. Mr Burzin Wadia, Executive Vice President - Engineering and technology received this Award on behalf of Godrej Appliances.

"National Energy Conservation Award" has been instituted by BEE with the key objective of recognizing the existing best practices in the sphere of efficient energy management and encouraging more and more Industries to reduce their overall natural resource consumption, thereby meeting the overall commitment of the country to the world community on Energy conservation and Environment.
