After having started direct operations in Bangalore, Carl Zeiss has inaugurated a new assembly cum competence centre in June 2012. The new building houses the office, state-of-the-art built-in assembly facility and the Competence Centre. The new office has an area of over 1,40,000 sq.ft. On display at the Competence Centre are high precision bridge coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) like Prismo and Accura, mid segments CMMs like Contura G2 and Spectrum with multi censor hybrid O-Inspect and shop hardened DuraMax CMM along with a highly accurate horizontal arm machine. The competence center also houses Rondcom, Surfcom and Contour measuring machines along with stereo microscope. These machines can be demonstrated to customers showcasing the capability of the machines. With this new facility, Carl Zeiss India has launched its long term plan implementation of supporting Indian customers for greater satisfaction.

Carl Zeiss inaugurated its first competence centre in the country in April 2008 at Bangalore. The competence centre is a technology and expertise driven centre catering to the needs of the Indian manufacturing industry.

A initiative of Carl Zeiss India to get closer to the customer was accomplished when it inaugurated its second competence centre in the country in the month of May 2010 at Pune and its third competence centre in the country on February 16th, 2012 at Chennai.

Carl Zeiss CMMs are used for quality control in automotive, aerospace, auto components, earth moving, machine tools and general engineering verticals. CMMs from Carl Zeiss help in production of precision parts with low rejection rates and give feedback to manufacturing and to provide results that can be trusted.

Carl Zeiss has started assembly of coordinate measuring machines in its new facility at Bangalore. Initially it has started assembling of two popular and proven models of coordinate measuring machines called Contura G2 and Spectrum.
