Shell Lubricants, the global market leader in finished lubricants, displayed its flagship products at EXCON 2017 - the 9th International Construction Equipment and Construction Technology Trade Fair organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The Shell booth was inaugurated by Vipin Sondhi, Managing Director, and CEO of J.C. Bamford Excavators, who appreciated Shell Lubricants’ great work in the construction space.

Shell’s premium product portfolio was a highlight at the event held from December 12th to 16th at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). Key highlights of the event included Gadus demo kits (developed to deliver the best value through enhanced wear protection, long grease life, and system efficiency) and an interactive demo station showcasing equipment wise solutions for the construction sector.

Shell believes that lubrication has the potential to deliver significant enterprise value by reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and enhancing equipment productivity. The event saw an impressive lineup of innovative services for various businesses which included Shell LubeServiceExpert, Shell LubeCoach, Shell LubeMatch, Shell LubeAdvisor and Shell Lube Analyst, a service which tests the condition of a lubricant to monitor and track any equipment’s performance. One of the outstanding features displayed at Excon was Shell’s AI-enabled chatbot, LubeChat, which is an interactive, intuitive, and integrated digital platform designed to offer myriad solutions pertaining to lubricant selection and use.

The company also presented many of its flagship products in its Rimula, Tellus, and Gadus ranges. These products help in protecting meticulously-designed machinery, and contribute to efficient operation by reducing lubricant consumption, extending the oil drain interval and lowering maintenance cost. Commenting from EXCON, Mansi Tripathy, Country Head, Shell Lubricants, India said, “EXCON is a great platform for us to enhance our knowledge and forge strong ties with key stakeholders. We are excited to be a part of the event as it is an ideal platform for Shell Lubricants to showcase its user-friendly products while engaging with different customers, OEMs, and industry counterparts. At Shell Lubricants, we strongly believe in driving growth by providing better assistance to our end consumers in terms of products as well as innovative technology solutions. We are always working towards delivering premium offerings to our valued customers to meet the rising needs of the construction sector.”

Shell Lubricants was also one of the only two lubricant members of the steering committee for the event. Representing the company at the committee, Siva Kasturi, Asia Pacific Regional OEM Manager, Shell Lubricants, said, “The country is witnessing a rising demand and growth in construction. The lubricants industry holds key significance in the operations of the construction sector. EXCON provides a great chance to highlight Shell’s products and technologically advanced services in the most effective manner. In addition to providing the highest caliber of products and services, we also strive to create a progressive ecosystem and initiate dialogue with key industry stakeholders.”

Organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) - India's Premier Industry Association, Excon 2017 is the largest construction equipment exhibition in South Asia as it witnesses the presence of more than 1000 exhibitors and 40,000+ business visitors. The event brings together different stakeholders from the industry to deliberate upon the challenges, opportunities and the best practices in the construction sector.
