The new design is built to sense the faults and to ease monitoring of the relay or the overall function of the system electronically.
The harsh electrical environment is the cause of failures at the controller and load (field) side. The conventional relays without the sensing functions tend to fail due to over voltage/current and any other errors. In order to overcome such failures, a relay which is unique in function is designed with sensing capabilities.
Relays generally fail as short/open circuit may be in the I/P or O/P circuit. Probability of relay failing as short is very high compared to open circuit failures. Rarely the output open circuits, but still such fault is not ruled out. It may be due to insufficient trigger to the device or the device or open path in the output circuit.
In order to make the relay safe and fail proof, the voltage and current are sensed and faults are indicated to alert and monitor the processes. This new design is available in the hockey puck style package and rated for 25/40/50 Amps at 240 Vac.

But this unique design manages the thermal conditions in such a way that it does not require an external heat sink even at 10 Amperes.

More relays in the given panel size thereby works out very economical. It is finger safe and wiring is the simplest. As the entire body is UL 94 VO Grade it is very safe.
