Sense Mobility Opens Rs 150 Million-Plus Automotive Electronics Plant

Six Sense Mobility, a Noida-based deeptech automotive company, has opened its first manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on its fourth anniversary. The company invested over Rs 150 million in the unit, establishing in-house capacity to manufacture next-generation connected-vehicle electronics, including vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, radar and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The 40,000 sq ft facility houses an integrated electronics manufacturing and assembly line with an installed capacity exceeding one million units annually. It brings hardware development, firmware, software integration and production under one roof, giving the company direct control over quality, customisation and timelines as automakers move towards software-defined, connected vehicles.

“Four years ago, we set out to build automotive electronics with full control over the hardware and software,” said Sumit Roy, Co-Founder and CEO, Six Sense Mobility. “This facility gives us the capacity to support larger customer programmes and take technologies like V2X from the lab into vehicles at scale. Designing and manufacturing them here in India is our contribution to Make in India and the journey toward Viksit Bharat”.

Backed by IIT Delhi and building on investments by Piper Serica and Ashish Kacholia, the company aims to develop products certified for global automotive applications. Its devices are already deployed in India and Europe, with expansion planned into North America and Southeast Asia.

Six Sense Mobility also plans to triple its workforce over the next two years, adding approximately 300 engineering and manufacturing roles.

Headquartered in Noida, the company was founded on 13 October 2022 by Sumit Roy, CEO; Narendra Verma, CPO; and Kapil Rao, CTO. It designs and manufactures connected-vehicle electronics spanning hardware, firmware and software.
