Aeron Systems raises Pre-Series B funding to expand deep-tech capabilities

Aeron Systems, an Indian deep-tech company developing advanced navigation, weather sensing and intelligent monitoring solutions for aerospace, defence and industrial applications, has successfully closed its Pre-Series B funding round, jointly led by Riverwalk Holdings and MGF-Kavachh (MountTech Growth Fund).

The investment marks a significant milestone in Aeron’s growth journey, enabling the company to expand manufacturing capabilities for advanced inertial navigation systems, accelerate research and development, meet rising customer demand and strengthen its presence in international markets. It also reflects growing investor confidence in India’s ability to develop globally competitive aerospace and defence technologies through indigenous innovation.

Ashvani Shukla, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Aeron Systems, said, “This investment marks an important milestone for Aeron Systems as we enter our next phase of growth. We are delighted to partner with investors who share our long-term vision of building globally competitive technologies from India while supporting the country's strategic and technological self-reliance.”

Abhijeet Bokil, Co-founder and Managing Director, Aeron Systems, added, “Aeron is at a stage of its journey where this investment will support its vision of global expansion. This investment will bring Aeron’s proven customer satisfaction in aerospace and renewable energy sectors and its expertise in sensing and navigation technologies to international customers, while also strengthening its manufacturing capabilities.”

Further elaborating on the investment, Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) R.K.S. Bhadauria, Chairman, Strategy & Oversight Board, MGF-Kavachh, said, “Modern defence platforms require technologies that can continue to operate reliably in contested environments. Aeron has built an impressive portfolio of indigenous capabilities across aerospace sensing and navigation, backed by strong engineering expertise and proven execution. Our investment reflects confidence in the company's technology and leadership.”

According to Raj Sethia, Founder & Managing Partner, MGF-Kavachh, “Aeron represents the kind of sovereign-technology company that can help strengthen India's strategic technology ecosystem. Aeron has demonstrated the ability to develop highly differentiated technologies for some of the country's most demanding customers. The company has built a strong foundation, and we are excited to partner with the team as they accelerate the next phase of growth.”

Abhishek Singh, Principal, Riverwalk Holdings, said, “Aeron Systems is one of the most unique companies being built out of India. Over 18 years, the team has built a product stack that sits at the intersection of two of the decade’s biggest global tailwinds. The first is inertial navigation for GPS-denied, spoofed and jammed environments, where we are already seeing a sharp rise in such cases across defence and commercial platforms, a trend that will accelerate as the adoption of electronic warfare increases. The second is making utility-scale solar adoption intelligent through a combined software and hardware stack. We are excited about the company's global ambitions and its efforts to keep forward-integrating both stacks to capture more of the bill-of-materials cost per platform.”

Demand for advanced aerospace and defence technologies is increasing as governments worldwide invest in capabilities that can operate reliably in increasingly complex and contested environments. From electronic warfare and disruption of satellite navigation signals to the need for accurate sensing and mission-critical data, modern defence platforms require technologies that deliver precision, resilience and reliability under demanding conditions.

Founded with the vision of building globally competitive electronics, advanced sensor fusion and AI-driven technologies from India, Aeron Systems has developed a portfolio of indigenous products spanning inertial navigation systems, air data computers, weather and environmental sensing solutions, flight test instrumentation, avionics and resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technologies.

These solutions support aircraft, helicopters, unmanned platforms, missiles, armoured vehicles and naval platforms across defence, aerospace and research applications.

Today, Aeron’s technologies are trusted by leading organisations including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Indian Army and the Indian Navy.
