Mechanical Vertical Lift, Series M

Datar Engineering & Consultancy (DECON) offers Mechanical Vertical Lift, Series M, used to move material between two or more levels. Series F lifts features four-corner support for heavy-duty, vertical material handling. Principal components are guide columns, carriage and mechanical actuating mechanism. Series M Vertical Lifts are available with: lifting capacities of 3000 kg; carriage size as 3 x 3 mtr or more; unlimited vertical rise; standard travel speed is 618 mtr per min; and higher speeds available on special order. Structure: guide columns are 150 mm wide; carriage is fabricated structural members with deck plate; other deck surface can be supplied; and carriage is available in straddle or cantilever styles depending on application. Operation: carriage is lifted and lowered by roller chain attached to an electric motor-reducer assembly mounted on the guide columns; power units employ 2 HP to 10 HP TEFC brake motors. Electrical: standard power requirements are 415 V, 3-phase; control voltage is 24 V; and control station, provided for each level, include self maintaining, push buttons with mushroom-head E-Stop button. Safety features: upward and downward travel of the carriage is limited by an E-limit switch – when the switch is tripped, the motor shuts off and brake is engaged; overload protection is provided by relay that measures the motor current; if the current exceeds the amount required to move the maximum load, it will shut the unit down and engage the brake; safety can (optional) mounted on each guide column, prevents uncontrolled descent in case both chains brake; chain tensioners and guide prevent chains from jumping on sprockets; and no rider signs are posted at each point of operation. Carriage and safety enclosures: carriage is equipment with safety rails on non-operating ends and safety chain, diagonal drop bars or gates on operating ends; optional expanded metal or sheet metal carriage enclosures are available; mandatory safety enclosures provided guarding on all sides of lift; enclosures consist of minimum '8' high material that rejects a ball 2" in diameter; gates are provided for access during loading/unloading; gates are electrically interlocked with carriage movement; and interlock prevents carriage movement if any gate is not fully closed.
