Counterbalanced Forklift Truck

Macrotech Equipment manufactures Counterbalanced Forklift Truck that drive axle is independently mounted on to the chassis and can be removed without disturbing other components.

• Electricals
  • Wastage of battery power in starting resistances is reduced to a minimum by avoiding use of resistance over more than half the stages of acceleration.
  • The accelerator assembly contains a series of micro switches, which energise contactors in the control circuit. The rate of acceleration is controlled by a fluid dashpot.
  • Higher voltage batteries are used for better efficiency.
  • A choice of battery capacities is available to suit any particular requirement.
  • A low voltage protection is in corporate to prevent over-discharge of the battery.
  • A sensing relay in the circuit immobilises the hydraulic system when the battery reaches its safe discharge level.
• Hydraulics:
  • Designed for weigh pressure operation for better efficiency and low losses in the system. Reinforced low losses with a good factory of safety are used through out.
  • A gear pump, which is used, can stand the shock loadings common in forklift trucks.
  • A mesh filter is fitted to the inlet to the pump to prevent dirt entering the system.
  • A pressure relief valve protects the system from overloads.
  • A resistor valve at the base of the lift jack controls speed of decent of load even in the unlikely even of the house failure.
• Transmission:
  • A generously raged variable speed totally enclosed motor of 13 H.P.
  • The motor is independently mounted on chassis through rubber mountings that cushion the motor from shocks and is coupled to the differential axle.
  • Fully floating double reduction type the design permits fast acceleration which enables the truck to give more work output per hour flexible universal couple.
• Steering
  • The centrally pivoted steering axle ensures constant ground contact for all wheels even on uneven ground.
  • Rubber buffers limit the articulation movements and thus ensure estability and dampen shocks.
  • All steering linkages are provided with ball joints to make steering effortless.
• Breaks:
  • The truck has three breaking systems like electrical, hydraulic and mechanical.
  • Electrical dynamic braking is automatically applied when the accelerator pedal is released. The motor then works as a generator. The electrical braking is powerful enough to slow down the track and bring it to a stop on its own.
  • Heavy duty hydraulic breaks act on independent brake drums on the drive axle and are actuated by a foot pedal. Due to automatic electrical breaking the use of hydraulic breaking will be less.
  • The mechanical break acts on the break drum fitted on drive flange and is operated by a hand lever positioned by a hand lever positioned in front of the operator.
• Chassis:
  • Robust open type fabricated structure of steel plates.
  • The low chassis height gives a low centre of gravity for a good over all stability.
• Controls:
  • All controls are positioned in front of the operator for ease of operation.
  • A key switch controlling the electrical circuit is directly in front of the operator together with a red warning light giving the indication that the circuit is live when the switch key is turned and the track is stationary.
