Datar Engineering & Consultancy (DECON) offers Hydraulic Vertical Lift, Series 21, used to move material between two levels. Principal components are guide columns, carriage and hydraulic actuating mechanism. Series 21 Vertical Lifts are available with: lifting capacities of 3,000 kg; carriage size to 3000 x 3000 mm; vertical rise to 5.5 mtr; standard travel speed 3.0 to 6.0 mtr/min; and higher speeds available on special order. Structure: guide columns are 150 mm wide flange; carriage is fabricated structural members with steel deck; other deck surface can be supplied; and carriage is available in straddle or cantilever styles. Operation: carriage is lifted and lowered by two hydraulic cylinders mounted of guide columns; cylinders are actuated by a remote mounted hydraulic pump; transmission of the lifting force is through roller chain attached to the cylinders and carriage; and a torsion bar links the two cylinders to equalize the load and ensure carriage remains level at all times. Electrical: standard power requirements are 415 V, 3-phase; control voltage is 24 V; and control station, provided for each level, include self maintaining, push buttons with mushroom-head E-Stop button. Safety features: deck locks (optional) automatically lock carriage at he upper level to elements drift or bounce; over travel is prevented by limit switches; velocity fuses prevent uncontrolled descent in case of hydraulic hose rupture; and no rider signs are posted at each point of operation. Carriage and safety enclosures: carriage is equipment with safety rails on non-operating ends and safety chain, diagonal drop bars or gates on operating ends; optional expanded metal or sheet metal carriage enclosures are available; mandatory safety enclosures provided guarding on all sides of lift; enclosures consist of minimum '8' high material that rejects a ball 2 in diameter; gates (provided for access during loading/unloading) and are electrically interlocked with carriage movement; and interlock prevent carriage movement if any gate is not fully closed.
