Loctite Dri-Loc pre-applied thread lockers are the answer to challenges of plant productivity and equipment reliability. Applied to threaded parts Dri-Loc forms a unique 'dry-to-touch' coating that converts ordinary fasteners into self-locking and self-sealing fasteners. Dri-Loc then becomes an integral part of the fastener and stays inert until parts are used. Dri-Loc dry-to-touch coatings contain microcapsules, which crush during assembly, releasing the active ingredient, which starts the curing process. The adhesive flows into the threads, filling all the voids, thus locking and sealing the assembly. Dri-Loc thread lockers exhibit good substrate compatibility and are specially designed to meet the automotive specification requirements. Suitable for use on plain and passivated metal surfaces, Dri-Loc thread lockers have good hot strength, heat ageing and solvent resistance properties.
