Roll Grinding Machines

Dhiman Roll Grinding Machines are sturdy and specially designed to perform a number of jobs: to carry out heaviest roughings as well as fine grinding operations, and can be used for both convex and concave grinding of rolls. The saddle gearbox is lubricated by pressurised oil through a separate lubrication system. The bed-ways are filled with oil enabling the floating action of the saddle which maintains the accuracy of the machine for longer period. The grinding spindle is nitrided, ground, polished and dynamically balanced. The bearing shells for the grinding spindle are of the multi-surface type, and adjustable. They are set at the factory for correct play, and need no maintenance apart from occasional oil change. This results in high pressure stability, chatter-free grinding surfaces, avoidance of swimming tendencies of pure hydrostatic systems and wear-free running of the roll grinder. The saddle is driven by DC motor which enables vibration free travel. The cambering system is provided with rotating cam, the amount of cambering can be adjusted to suit the requirement in a few minutes. The wheel-head saddle base is hinged which enables the precise forward and backward movements of the wheel for concave and convex grinding.
