Genset Fuel Consumption Monitor

Fluidyne manufactures genset fuel consumption monitors for gensets from 15 HP to 1500 HP range. Measurement of fuel consumption is the first step towards conserving the fuel and in this regard Fluidyne provides applications specific solutions. For low HP engines using plunger or rotary fuel injector pumps a compact model is available which can be used for engines in the range of 15-250 HP. For larger engines in the range of 50-1500 HP another model is available, which can be used with all makes of engines including Cummins PT systems. Compatibility with Cummins PT fuel system is a unique feature of this product. These can be used for fuels such as HSD/SKO/LDO and HSD + SKO mixtures as well. The mechanical hour meter normally provided on any engine is dependent on engine RPM and does not measure the true hours the engine clocks. Fluidyne fuel consumption monitor also provides a crystal based hour meter, which totalises actual engine run hours. Gravity head from day tank is not essential for operation and monitors can be used as effectively on negative heads. The monitors provide digital display of fuel with a resolution of 0.1 litre and run hour with a resolution of 0.01 Hr. The displays are self powered by a internal lithium battery and the unit as such does not require any kind of external power which is a big advantage in power house working environments. The company has recently introduced a genset efficiency monitor which due to a built in energy (kWH) transducer can be coupled with a fuel consumption monitor to measure efficiency in kWhr/ltr. The graphic LCD display besides displaying current load in kW and fuel flow rate in LPH displays units generated for the last litre used by the engine. A RS485 output is provided with a software utility to log daily production of energy and consumption of fuel, which is a major step in genset power house management.
