Stainless Steel Pickling Gel/Paste

Novel Surface Treatments offers VK Jelly®, a Stainless Steel Weld Cleaning Pickling Gel/Paste used to clean stainless steel weld seams and surrounding areas. It is applied with brush, without prior doing any wire brushing or grinding or buffing. VK Jelly does not leave yellow or black stains after water washing. It is used to remove heavy scales, discolouration, annealing colours, rust particles near weld and welding affected area by heat. It helps to detect pinholes after welding. Area coverage = around 100 metre of weld seam per kg. VK range of `fumeless' pickling and passivation chemicals are tested and approved by IIT Bombay under ASTM A380 standards. Benefits: removes built-in corrosion from stainless steel and high nickel alloys; removes scales, discolouration, burn spots and ferritic contamination without wire brushing or grinding; prevents corrosion and restores full corrosion resistance; removes metallic contaminants, oxide scales, rust spots and annealing colours; retains mill finish; and gives a uniform, smooth, contamination and sterile particle free, passive surface. VK products are well accepted by Third Party Inspection agencies.
