Enclosure Series, Hygienic Design

Rittal?s Hygienic Design enclosures enable food producers to meet the increased requirements of the new International Food Standard (IFS), Version 5, which came into force on 1 August 2007 and is considered the international standard for quality assurance and food safety. This standard is based on a uniform check of all stages of the food production process. Existing production systems or individual machines with enclosures and housings can be designed to increase the level of hygiene protection. Management of foreign bodies is improved and internal audits can be performed to document the optimisation measures. Hygienic Design enclosure series can be used to improve the key criteria involved in the food manufacturing processes, including system design and procedures, climate control, planning, hygiene, risk of foreign bodies, maintenance and repair, and systems and equipment. The company now offers a completely new series of stainless steel housings designed to meet the special requirements of food producers, who are looking for their suppliers to meet their increasing demands on the hygienic design of machines and systems. Apart from meeting the IFS requirements ? the new series of enclosures also cuts the outlay for cleaning and disinfection, which in turn reduces downtimes and increases productivity.
