Additive for lead-acid batteries

Multi Electrochem Industries offers Add-Life, an instant electrolyte additive for lead-acid batteries. It restores normal reaction; removes hard coating from the plates; the plates get cleaned up; cells get charged up; and prevents white powder coating. The main reason for battery failure is the formation of a soft spongy film, which covers the negative and positive plates, which later turns abnormally hard and clogs the plates and separators. This causes the normal chemical reaction in charge/discharge cycle to stop. Add-Life is a chemical formulation, which not only stops corrosion in batteries but prolongs the shelf life as well. It has been tested by IIT Mumbai and found effective. However, this does not work or give any favourable results, if the battery is completely "dead". In other words, it will not revive the battery if battery plates are broken, cracked or physically damaged.
