Sierra Monitor Corporation, USA, introduces flame detectors that utilise ultraviolet, infrared and visible spectrum to provide continuous and reliable flame detection. The multi-spectrum's detection system coupled with state-of-the art fire algorithms in the microprocessor controls results in the most reliable flame detector on the market today with extensive false alarm avoidance, easy to understand diagnostics, variable alarm relay configuration, automatic built in through the lens testing and the widest field of view (120?C) in the industry. The self diagnostics features perform system tests and watch for faults that could impair their ability to accurately detect a flame. The 3100 is FM approved and is in a copper-free, cast aluminium explosion-proof housing. It is available in five models. The basic unit includes fire and fault relays. The enchanced models include the fire and fault relays, plus verify and auxiliary relays. Fast, accurate flame detection is demanded in many industries, but in particular the petrochemical and chemical facilities, aerospace industries and any industry where hydrocarbons, hydrogen, hydrazine, alcohols, etc, are used.
