Air Catch Sensors

SMC Pneumatics offers a Air Catch Sensor, ISA2. This differential pressure sensor is used to detect a work piece accurately and reliably at distances of between 0.01 to 0.5 mm. It has large graduated dial, integral pressure gauge and three colour LED indicator, the setting and monitoring of the optimum work piece position can be undertaken both quickly and accurately. With its lower air pressure operational requirements, this sensor ensures that compressed air consumption is kept to an absolute minimum resulting in improved energy savings. This sensor is designed for use with dry filtered air, at operating temperatures of between 0-60ºC, the ISA2 meets IP66 enclosure protection and IP65 for the solenoid valve respectively. Currently, this model is available with optional fitted regulator and two port solenoid control unit that can be mounted directly to either the left or right side of the manifold and due to its modular construction, it can also be ordered in either centralised wiring or individual wiring types. The applications includes: automotive manufacturing, food packaging, electronics and medical industries.
