Hydraulic Screen Changer

Malik Engineers manufacture Hydraulic Screen Changer for single screw extruder which is used for producing reprocessed pellets, master batch, sheets (both foamed as well as unformed/rigid sheets), etc. This screen is fitted between the extruder and die and functions to filter out the impurities from the polymer melt before extruding out through the die. It is developed with an automated method for replacement of the clogged screen. This system is hydraulically operated by a manual lever valve which operates a hydraulic cylinder attached to the platen which is already loaded with a fresh screen. The clogged screen is cleaned/replaced and kept in the area provided on the moving platen of the screen changer. The moving forces are provided by a hydraulic cylinder working in conjunction with the power pack unit. The whole system is self lubricating and needs very little maintenance. It is tailor made to suit the extruder machine and is offered to handle output capacities from 100 kg to 500 kg/hour production. It also lends itself for automatic hot die cutting of pellets wherein the pelletiser is under water, and operator interference is at minimum.
