Flux Cored Wires

Royal Arc Electrodes offers Flux Cored Wire, Royalfil GS-12R. This is an all position rutile flux cored wire designed for optimum performance when using 100% CO, shielding. The smooth metal transfer facilitates easy deposition of vertical-up stringer beads. The slag coverage is complete and designed for easy removal. Weld metal is consistently free of inclusions and porosity for X-ray soundness. This wire is formulated to produce fewer fumes, minimal spatter. Welding position: all position welding; shielding gas: carbon dioxide (CO2) at 10-15 ltr per minute; standard wire diameter: 1.20 mm and 1.60 mm diameter. Other diameters can be supplied on request; packing: supplied in 12.5 kg plastic spool, each spool is sealed in an airtight polyethylene bag and then packed in a corrugated box. Other type of packing can be supplied on request; recommended stick out: 15-20 mm. Application: it is designed for all position single and multipass welding of low and medium carbon steels. It is suitable for joining steels conforming to ASTM SA-36/SA-36M and A, B, C, D grades of SA-283/SA-283M and SA414/SA-414M (PNo.1), e.g., fabrication in chemical plant machinery structures and steel frames in ship building, heavy bridges and towers.
