Electronic Speed Switch, Proximity Type

AG Engg Enterprises manufactures electronic speed switch of non contact (proximity) type. It is made exclusively for accurate monitoring of speed. The probe is installed with its face in close vicinity of rotating pulley/drum on which small metallic flags are fixed. As the flags pass across the face of the probe, pulses are generated. These pulses are fed to the control unit where they are corelated with respect to time, to sense the speed. An output relay operates whenever the rate of input pulses is below/above the set rate. Output relay contacts can be used for safety tripping, visual and audio alarm. The control unit is heavy duty, dust and vermin proof housing, mounted horizontally or vertically. The sensing probe houses an electronic circuitory in a tubular threaded metallic enclosure and has a two core cable for connection to control unit. The switch is available in the following ranges: 5 RPM to 50 RPM, 50 RPM to 500 RPM and 500 RPM to 5000 RPM. Additional feature: it has a built-in timer for initial by-pass setting 0 to 60 sec settable by potentiometer. Proximity switch sensing distance is 8 mm/10 mm/15 mm/20 mm/30 mm/35 mm. Trip delay timer is available on request for avoiding nuisance tripping.
