Analog SSRs For Heater Control

Satronix is offering import substitute analog solid-state relays (SSRs) at an economical price for heat control. Brief specifications are: linear control – 4-20 mA or 0-10 V DC; average output power – 0%-100%; and single phase – 10 to 90 amps (2-phase control models too available). The Satronix single phase analog solid-state relay is pre-installed on an engineered heatsink, resulting in the optimum thermal transfer in the minimum amount of panel space. The precise linear control results in improving heater life and reduces electrical noise to adjacent products. The maximum surge survival technology includes a triple layer protection against damage from voltage surges. It electrically switches 1/2 poles up to 480 V AC rms. The DCB (direct copper bonding) technology and the thermally optimised heat sink design results in a high efficiency thyristorised control. The analog switching relay works in accordance with the phase angle control principle, i.e., the output switching point in the AC sine wave depends on control current 4 mA/control voltage; 0 V corresponds to 0% (no switching) and 20 mA/10 V corresponds to 100% load. Transfer characteristics are fully linear. Applications: infrared and quartz heaters; resistive heating elements; forming equipment; printing applications; printing applications; blow moulding equipment; and industrial temperature controllers.
