Field Controllers For Open Msr Solutions With Interbus

The new PC-card IBS ISA FC-field controllers by Phoenix Contact allow the integration of simple to complex MSR tasks in PC systems. The consistent networking in control and automation levels is assumed here by an Interbus system. The field controllers ensure the safe connection of sensors, actuators and field devices via Interbus. And the integrated IEC 1131 run-time system for MSR tasks means that they offer autonomous control functionality independent of the host PC. The PC is thus freed up for visualising the connected process signals and parameters. Field controllers are available in different versions for various applications: the compact IBS ISA FC/IT is the basic type for smaller to middle-of-the-range MSR tasks. It fits into any PC-based control, operating and automation system. The middle-of-the-range to top-of-the-range area is covered by the field controllers with coprocessors, the IBS ISA FC/ 386XS/I-T and IBS ISA FC/486 DX/I -T. Both cards use the universal PC104 standard on a high performance embedded PC board. All field controllers are consistently configured and programmed in compliance with the IEC 1131 standard using the PC Worx PC-based automation software.
