Energy Saver

The Satronix Energy Saver is a digital power optimiser/soft start or soft stop for three phase motors. This will save 15% to 40% of electricity costs without any power loss or detriment to the motor speed. Its thyristorised micro-controller detects the motor speed and regulates the voltage (reduces/increases) thereby reducing losses (iron/magnetising and copper losses) inherent in all AC induction motors, also improving efficiency of the motor without hampering the speed of the motor. It provides sufficient but not too much torque continuously adjusting power to the load. A soft start facility is incorporated in all 3-phases of the energy saver. It provides a gradual and controlled increase soft start (decrease in case of soft stop) in the voltage applied to the motor terminals, thus eliminating the high peak current created during the starting cycle of induction motors. This energy saver is meant for any 3-phase asynchronous AC induction motor (squirrel cage, slip ring or DC motors with rotor injection start system. If the load is greater than 75% on an average at any facility an energy saver is not required. But anywhere below 75% motor load the energy saver saves the energy. With pay back being anywhere between 8 months to 18 months max.
