Integrated Drive Systems specialises in supplying variable speed DC drives for use in textile, paper, plastic, jute and other process industries. In addition to supply of new drives, IDSPL has successfully replaced old mechanical, PIV and hydraulic drives by its drives on indigenous and imported machines. The drives can meet the requirements of constant torque and constant HP applications. They are widely used for winding applications at constant tension. The helper drives in power sharing mode to augment the capacity of existing drives are also available. The state of the art products with solid state SCRs are offered for single or multi-motor applications in capacities ranging from 0.5 to 500 HP suitable for operation on single and three-phase AC mains. The design incorporates comprehensive protection features for fail-safe operation with options for inch, reverse, dynamic/regenerative braking, etc. The drive modules are readily available up to 5 HP for 220 V DC and PMDC motors. These have start, stop facility, soft start, built-in electronic field failure, overload and overtemperature protection with LED indications, and armature voltage/tacho feedback provision. They are easy to install and ideal for use by panel builders and machinery manufacturers. The drives for motor having armature voltage of 440 V DC can be supplied in modular versions and also as complete systems. The versatile half control and full control schemes are available. The high reliability designs ensure correct operation even at very low supply voltage.
