Tension Springs (Extension Springs)

The company offers a range of Tension Springs (Extension Springs). Tension springs are exactly opposite to compression springs. These are close coiled springs and extended under a pulling force. The spring design formulae are same as that of compression springs but initial tension and safe design of hooks are important. The spring hooks are having different shapes as shown in the picture. The position of hooks is also important in assembly. It is advisable to avoid special hooks whenever possible, because they are expensive, take a longer time to make. These springs are always having some initial tension. Springs without initial tension are difficult to make. Electroplating or painting is to be avoided in tension springs due to closed winding and the fact that the inner side is not properly exposed in such processes.
