Birdman Chemeng offers a Tensometer, a very robust and rugged instrument in design and one that has hardly any component outside the tube-casing, which can be damaged during operation. The whole instrument is encased in a seamless steel tube having external diameter within 100 mm. The two ends of the tube are provided with suitable eyebolts of which the top one is swivelling type to eliminate tortional stress. This tensometer is supplied packed in a compact steel case. The recording gauge is also housed conveniently inside the seamless steel tube body, which not only protects it from external shock, but also preserves its sensitivity and accuracy.
