Specialty chemicals company LANXESS, announced appointment of Marcel Beermann as Head-Procurement & Logistics, Group Function effective from June 1, 2020. 

47-year-old Beermann succeeds Frederique van Baarle (48). Baarle will take charge as Head- High Performance Materials Business Unit on the same date. Beermann headed Marketing & Sales for High-Performance Plastics in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at LANXESS.

He has done an excellent job here, as he did during his ten years as head of the Mergers & Acquisitions group function. I am very pleased that he can now contribute his extensive know-how to our global purchasing and logistics operations and wish him every success in his new role." 

He joined LANXESS in 2005. He started in the Mergers & Acquisitions group function, which he headed for over ten years from 2008. At the end of 2018, Beermann moved to the High Performance Materials business unit as head of EMEA Marketing & Sales Engineering Plastics.
